Winship Cancer Institute Emory Midtown

Villa ProCtrl and Empire Office Collaborate on Innovative Emory Midtown Facility Transformation

Villa ProCtrl partnered with our USA reseller, Empire Office, and design firm HKS, Inc., to transform the impressive 180,000 m² outpatient facility into a state-of-the-art patient and family center. This comprehensive space offers advanced care services including orthopedics, spine treatments, physical therapy, imaging, outpatient surgery, retail shops, cafés, and research areas.

At the heart of this transformation lies the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown, designed to deliver an innovative cancer care model. It focuses on placing patients at the center of specialized care communities, bridging outpatient and clinical care while seamlessly integrating groundbreaking research in prevention and treatment.

The facility spans over six floors, featuring private offices, workspaces, and support areas furnished with products from renowned manufacturers such as Steelcase, Coalesse, Sitonit, 9to5 Seating, OFS, and National Office Furniture.

Aligned with Emory’s vision to lead in transformative practices and sustainable solutions, Empire Office was proud to contribute by developing an eco-friendly and forward-thinking solution for this project. Together, we brought function, comfort, and sustainability to life in a facility designed for excellence in patient care and cutting-edge research.

Together with Office Empire, we brought the design of the Rondo Lectern to life, delivering several dozen units for this project.

The shortened shelf and rounded edges, designed to prevent accidental footplate contact, stand out in this design. These lecterns are not used in the traditional sense but serve more as a Maitre d’ station or mobile hospitality desk.
